What Measuring Tool Do You Use?
Why do we fail with walking in faith so much? We choose to do the word which is the right thing to do. We start out right by being led by the Spirit. But as soon as we get started on our faith journey, the devil comes to oppose us. What does the devil do to stop the journey of faith of the believer? The devil gets the believer to measure the validity of the truth of the Word he is believing and following by what he sees, hears and feels. The devil takes the believer from the spirit realm to the physical/natural realm. The devil gets the believer to measure what he is believing in the spirit realm (that's the Word realm) to what he sees in the physical realm. 99.5% of believers fail in their walk of faith because they use the wrong measuring tool. What you see, feel and hear will never line up with what God says in His Word when you are in the midst of the battle. The measuring tool the believer must use when he is following the word of God through the midst of the battle is the Word itself. Everything you are confronted with and experience must be measured by what God's Word says only. You stand on that Word no matter what is going on around you (Isa 50:7) and God will watch over that Word and perform it (Jer1:12) in His perfect timing, not yours, for all the promises of God are "Yes" and "Amen" (1Cor1:20). If you are going to live by faith, then you must have the right measuring tool in your possessen at all times. You only need one tool, "the Word of God". Your only question when you stand before the mountain is, "what does the Word say". Then when you have spoken that Word to the mountain in faith (Mark 11:23) for it to be removed and you look and see that the mountain is still standing there, that's when you take out the right measuring tool to maintain your stand of faith. God's measuring tool is perfect and it will produce what you are believing for. Measure it right for the right result. Be Blessed!!
