What's Your "Final Authority?"

Prov 7:1-2 (NIV) says, My son (daughter), keep My Words and store up My commands within you. Keep My commands (Words) and you will live; guard My Teachings as the apple of your eye.

To keep the Word is to believe the Word over anything else. You believe it so much, that you do it rather than doing something else.

I have made the Word of God the final authority in my life. I love that term "final authority" because there is power in just saying it. I first heard a well known Bible teacher use that term almost 30 years ago, and I liked it the fist time I heard it and I've liked it every time I've heard it since then.

So what do I mean the Word is final authority? Let me use this illustration to show you: My body may be telling me that I am sick and what it is telling me is true (I don't deny what my body is telling me) however it's not the final truth. There is a Truth that stands greater than what my body is telling me. It's the Truth that my spirit is telling me that is greater, for greater is He that lives within me, than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). God's Truth lives in my spirit and it speaks to me.

God's Truth (His Word) is greater than physical, natural, what you can see and feel truth. My body says, "I'm sick", but my God says, "by His stripes you were healed (1 Pet 2:24)." God's Truth is greater truth and if you will believe the greater Truth, then it will rule over the lower truth. God's Truth will overcome the lower truth. The problem with man (woman) is that he is to quick to believe the lower truth and ignore God's Higher Truth. The man believes he is sick, and therefore remains that way (usually grows worse), but the Believer will look beyond what his body is telling him as truth, and will look at what God is saying instead, "Jesus My Son bore your sicknesses and carried your diseases "(Matt 8:16-17), and the Believer chooses to believe what God says over (in spite of) what his body is telling him as truth. In the eyes of a carnal man (carnal Christian) this looks completely foolish. But in the eyes of the man who is led by the Spirit of God, it looks normal and right.

As a Christian, I am in the world, but not of it or I don't live according to the world's standard. I live my life here in this world according to the standards of the Kingdom of God (this standard is the Word of God). Those who live in the world( Christians included) laugh, make fun of, scorn, and judge those who live according to the principles of the Kingdom of God (Word of God). Those who live in the world (Christians included) pass judgment on those that don't as being foolish, deranged or worse yet, as deceiving. This is what the true Believer is up against when he chooses to believe God over what his natural senses are telling him. Some of the severest attacks (persecution) against the Believer come from within the Church (the body of Christ) that are filled with carnal Christians who have exalted what they think is true over what God says is True and then they choose to belittle the one who chooses to believe God over what what he sees and feels.

But God is well pleased with the man(woman) who holds His Truth above the physical natural truth of the world. When I choose to act like God (now I know that makes a few of you squirm, but God would have me act no other way) and call things that be not as though they were (Abraham did that, he's our father in the Faith- Rom 4:17), that's when I'm putting a smile on God's face, while at the same time the world (carnal Christians included) are laughing at me. I have tuned out the laughing and the scorn and I'm tuned into God and His Word. I walk healed in light of God's Word no matter what my body is telling me. If my body tells me I'm sick, I tell it that it has no right to be sick because Jesus bore those stripes on His back, His body broken, so that mine could be healed and whole. Jesus paid to big of price for me to ignore this Truth and believe a lesser truth that my body is telling me. I choose to exalt the Word of God over every situation I face (Final Authority). If my body tells me I’m sick, and my God tells me I am healed (Isa 53:5), which one do you think I’m going to believe? For as a man thinks and believes in his heart, so is he (Prov 23:7 KJV). I am going to agree with God and because if I do, His Word will prevail in my life and my sick body will have to line up with God’s Truth.

I’ve just shared with you the life of Faith of the true Believer. Does this sound like you? Or, are you the one who judges and scorns and counts as foolish the man who lives this way? If you are, then even though you might be in the church and saved and Heaven is your home, you’ve chosen to live your life according to the world’s standard and Prov 14:12 says it best, “there is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of that way is death" (separated from God and His promises). What pathway would you rather be on, God’s or the world’s? I choose God’s way, and if I look foolish to you, you should see how you look to me (& God).

It’s time to believe God. Yes, you’ll look and sound different to those in the world around you, but you’ll look just right in God’s sight. Who would you rather please? The beauty of pleasing God and doing it His way is that you get to walk in God’s Blessings now and forevermore and you'll put a smile on God's face because it is impossible to please God without faith (Heb 11:6). Come and join me on this journey. You’ll love it and so will God!!

God's Way Of Receiving, "You Gotta Take It"

In the first chapter of Joshua, God is speaking to Joshua and transferring the responsibility of leading His people into the Promise Land from Moses to him. God gives Joshua a pep talk before he begins. (I highly recommend that you allow God to give you a pep talk before you embark on God's assignment, it's the difference between winning and losing. Until you hear God for yourself, (you know He is talking to you don't you?) just read the first Chapter of Joshua and receive Joshua's pep talk as yours. I do this all the time, especially verses 6-9 with special emphasis on verse 8).

Now lets focus on Joshua 1:3. "Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given you, as I said to Moses". (I want you to notice one very important fact. Though God has given it to Joshua, it doesn't become his until he puts his foot on it. Joshua had to do something to receive from God, and so do you!)

The Word of God (the Bible) is the land of Promise (2 Cor 1:19-20) for the Believer. It is my (and yours) Promise Land. And what God has told Joshua, He is telling me (and you). Every place that I come upon and see in the Word, God declares to me, "that (what you see in My Word) have I given you. My Son Jesus has spoken my Word just as He has heard it from Me and He has said it unto you(John 8:26-29). What He (Jesus) says to you belongs to you. But what He says to you, you must take it for yourself and possess it before it becomes yours."

God spoke the following to me: "Until you take what I have given unto you, it will not be yours even though that is what I will for you to have. When you see in My Word what My Son did for you, you must take it for yourself before you can possess it. When you see in the Word My Son receiving those stripes upon His back from the whip in the hand of My enemy (satan) and yours, and then you see what My Son declares to you, "that by My stripes you were healed (1 Pet 2:24), that My body was broken , so that yours may be whole". Though you see with your own eyes and hear with your own ears what I have given to you, it won't belong to you until you take it and possess it for yourself."

Jesus said, "Whatever thing you ask when you pray, believe that you receive it and you shall have it."(Mark 11:24) Now understand the truth that is revealed here by Jesus. You will not possess what God has already shown to you that belongs to you, until you believe it's yours personally and receive it by faith, by believing God. We are at a place in church history now that many within the present day church don't even believe that Jesus said what He said in Mark 11:24. They think some man came up with that saying to start the Faith Movement. Well I got news for you, God started the Faith Movement in Genesis 1:1 and He showed us how in verse 3. Martin Luther didn't start it, nor did John Alexander Dowie, Maria Woodworth-Etter, John G Lake, Smith Wigglesworh, EW Kenyon, Aimee Semple McPherson, Kathryn Kuhlman, Oral Roberts, Kenneth Hagin, Kenneth Copeland and anybody else that you can think of that bothers you and you've classified as some kind of faith nut. Well you can put me in this group, and I'm privileged to stand with them, because they have done nothing more than to imitate their Father and their Lord. It is what it is folks, it's called "Faith". Jesus authored it and if you've got a problem with faith people, then go talk to the author. (sorry I sound so gruff, but I've been wanting to get this off my chest for a long time. The Faith Guys & Gals aren't the bad guys and if you believe they are, then you have been taken captive by satan to do his will, and you will never enter into the Land of Promise, which is God's will for you)..........

Okay, lets get back on track. Now that word "receive" in Mark 11:24 is the Greek word "lambano" and the better definition of this word is, "to take, to get hold of", rather than receiving something offered to you. To take something is a more violent act. To take is an active force. To receive is passive with no force extended. In Matthew 11:12 Jesus says, "the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force." Eph 6:12 says, "we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against our enemy the devil and his forces". The devil is doing all he can to keep you from possessing what God has given to you. To live by faith, you must accept the fact that you will be engaged in violent acts as you take possession of what God has given to you. When you see in the Word, that healing belongs to you, and that you yourself desire to have that healing, then you are going to have to do what Jesus said in Mark 11:24, you are going to have to "take it, grab hold of it and don't let go of it." Be willing to fight the good fight of faith so as to be able to possess what God has given you.

This, "if it be thy will", when you know exactly what God's will is (because He has declared to you in His Word, "by His stripes you were healed"), this is passive receiving and you'll be waiting the rest of your life for God's will to be done.

But, when God shows you what belongs to you, you ask Him for it according to His Word, then stretch out your hand of faith and "TAKE IT". And if you have to fight for it to possess it, then get violent and fight until you have it, because it's rightfully yours and it belongs to you. It takes boldness to take something that belongs to you, when someone else is keeping you from it. The enemy that stands in your way (the devil) has already been defeated by Jesus (1 Jn 3:8), however, he is still standing in your way (of your healing) and you are going to have to kick him out of the way and take what belongs to you by the authority that Jesus has given to you to do that and what He has given to you is"His Name." Do you have the courage to fight this battle? You'll only find that at the feet of Jesus, where you and I must spend our time to get His (Jesus') strength for ourselves for the battle. Then and only then will we go out and take what belongs to us.

Possess what God is showing you today. Yes, you are in for a fight, but it's a good fight, because you win! How do I know this? Because the Spirit of the Living God has said to me in 2 Cor 2:14, "thanks be to God Who always causes me to triumph in Christ." That's where you'll find me. "In Christ", how about you? Now go and take a hold of Jesus' garment and and receive from Him what you need and then He will say to you what He said to that woman who was holding on to His garment until she got what she came for, He'll say, "your faith has made you well, go in peace and be healed of your infliction." (Mark 5:34) Now those are words you can live with!!

Who Are You Listening To? It Makes A Differance

He is quick to tell me how he feels, but more importantly, what does he believe? Have you ever noticed how quick people are willing to share with you how they feel, especially when they don't feel good. How often have you ever had someone share with you what they believe? What about you? What moves you? Are you moved by how you feel or by what you believe?...............

If my body tells me I'm sick, is that the only voice available to tell me how to feel? What about God's voice? What about the voice of Jesus? For He (the Word) says, "for we walk by faith and not by sight" (2 Cor 5:7). What does that mean? It means we can judge or determine how we think we feel according to God's standard instead of ours. We say, "we are sick", because that is what our body is telling us. But the Spirit of God is saying, "by His stripes you were healed" (1 Pet 2:24). Now I have a choice to make. Am I going to believe and agree with my body and what it is saying to me, or am I going to believe and agree with God in what He is saying about my situation?

The voice that you hear your body speaking is real and it is not to be ignored. As a matter of fact, you can't ignore it, because you are feeling what it is saying to you. Your body is telling you the truth from the natural perspective or from the physical/natural realm. But there is a higher Truth that comes from a higher realm, God's realm of the Spirit. The Spirit realm is actually more real than the natural realm. The only problem, you can't see it with your natural eyes. But it's there and it's real. It's where God lives and everything you see and feel with your five natural senses was first created in the Spiritual realm, and everything in this natural realm is subject to or governed by the Spirit realm. So though your body may be telling you that you are sick, God's higher authority is telling you that you are healed, and if you will believe God and what He is saying over what your body is saying to you, then you'll have what God says instead of what your body says because the Spirit realm rules and dominates the natural realm. You see this spiritual law in effect in the the very beginning in Gen 1:1-3. God said light be, and light was. The Spirit realm created the natural realm and therefore the natural realm is subject to the Spiritual realm. Unless you understand this Spiritual Truth, you will always be moved by what you see and feel and you will always be easy prey for the devil and his schemes against you. Your understanding of how the Spiritual realm dominates the natural realm is what enables you to live by faith.

Now if this sounds fanatical to you, then just understand this. You have not traveled to far down the pathway of God's realm of the Spirit, since first entering in when you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You might of taken some baby steps, but you are still there in God's nursery and have not renewed your mind to God's way of thinking. I'm talking about growing up in faith in God. I'm talking about getting to the place where I believe God and what He says over what I think and say about it.

Please don't misunderstand what I'm saying to you. When your body speaks and says it's sick, it is. I'm not telling you to deny it or pretend you didn't hear it. What I'm telling you is that if you are going to believe God over what your body is saying to you, then you are going to have to deny the right of that sickness to remain in or on your body, resist it by taking hold or possessing what God has declared belongs to you and what is that you say? Healing! Jesus paid the price for your healing by those stripes on His back. But for you to enjoy your inheritance of healing, you are going to have to believe what God has said to you, over what your body is saying to you. You are going to have to walk by faith and not by sight. But God has already said "His children (that's you and me) shall live by faith" (Heb 10:38), and He expects us to live that way. From God's perspective it is not fanatical for you to believe something He said, over what you can see and feel. No, it's expected of you by God to live that way. And if He expects us to live that way, then He will enable us to live that way and that's exactly what Jesus has done for you, for He is the Author and Finisher (Developer) of your faith (Heb 12:2). Jesus is the One who enables you to believe if you will sit at His feet and listen to His Words. If you'll spend time with Him, you'll have no problem believing Him. But most of God's children try to believe what God is saying, but never take the time to sit at Jesus' feet and be taught by the Master. For you see, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God out of the mouth of Jesus (Rom 10:17).

So if believing what God says over what your body says still sounds fanatical to you, then you must know that you have not sincerely been sitting at the feet of Jesus listening to Him. Oh, you might of been listening to someone else who hasn't been sitting at the feet of Jesus either and what he says makes more sense to you because he is saying, " healing has passed away, healing was just for Jesus to prove that He was the Son of God, healing passed away after the last Apostle died, or you just never know what God's gonna do (however 1 Cor 2:9-14 says just the opposite), or maybe this one, God is trying to teach you something by making you sick", Yikes! I don't even like writing that garbage for that has nothing to do with God and His ways.

God's way is the way of faith. Believing Him over what you see, feel, or think about it. Are you willing to live this way? Are you willing to do it God's way? If you are, there is a whole new way of living for you. Yes it will look peculiar in the eyes of those around you, but it will look just right and very normal in God's eyes and if you'll do it God's way then you'll have what God says, "By His stripes you were healed" (1 Pet 2:24).

There Is Only One Way To Believe God. Are You Doing It?

God spoke the following message directly to my heart and that is the way I will share it with you. The first time I heard God say to me, "Your ability to believe Me comes from Me" was about 27 years ago. My original question to Him was, "How can I believe you?", which came from me because I had been walking with the Lord for only a couple of years, but it was obvious to me that I did not know how to believe Him the way God was asking me to, so I asked Him how to believe Him so that I could receive from Him. The revelation to that question is still coming forth to this day, because the more I grow in Him, the more He can reveal. So God said to me just the other day........................

Your ability to believe Me comes from Me. And what comes from Me is My Word. Your ability to believe My Word will always be in direct relationship to the amount of My Word that is on deposit in your heart. You can't believe My Word unless that Word you desire to believe is residing in your heart. You can not believe My Word by just knowing My Word. Knowing My Word is the first step to believing My Word. You can't believe what you know until what you know is residing in your heart, and there is only one way for My Word to reside in your heart and that is by meditating day and night that Word you desire to believe.

There is no other way for you to believe Me, then what I have declared to you this day. Men fail with My Word because they can not believe it, for one reason and one reason only, because they refuse to do it My way. They accuse Me of My Word not being True. They accuse Me of not being faithful to My Word to perform it in their lives, but they accuse Me wrongly. For I am faithful to My Word and it is True and I will perform it in the life of a man (woman) who will believe it My way.

But what man calls believing is not what I call believing. Man trys to believe My Word apart from Me , but this is impossible for I have made only one way for My Word to be believed. It must be first heard, but at this point you only know something, you don't believe it. So many of My people have been hurt at this very place because they thought they were believing Me, but they were only doing what they knew, and what they knew could not hold up under the pressure of the enemy's attack against that Word that they knew. (Now I don't want you to miss what God said here. He said the attack was against the Word, not the Man. Satan's target is always the Word and he comes to steal it from a man before he can believe it). In their eyes they believed My Word failed them, but in reality they failed to believe Me, they only knew what I said, but they didn't believe what I said because believing Me, comes from Me, and what comes from Me is My Word, and unless that Word is alive in your heart (not your head), you can't believe Me.

I have told man plainly how to believe Me, but they refuse to do it. They always look for another way. A short cut, but there is no other way to believe Me. I have hidden this truth in My book of Joshua (1:8) where I declared, "this book of the Law (My Word) shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then (and only then will you be able to believe what I've said) you will make your way prosperous and then you will have good success." (in believing)

The only way you can believe Me is by keeping your eye on Me by keeping your eye on My Word. If you take your eyes off of My Word and look at something else that opposes My Word, you will not be able to believe Me. For Peter walked on the water as long as He looked at Me, for as long as he looked at Me he believed what I said to him when I said "Come" and he believed he could walk on the water and he did, but when he looked away from Me and looked at something else, he quit believing Me and started believing something else, and he began to sink. My Word (Come) held him up until he stopped believing it. My Word did not fail him, but he failed to continue believing it and he sank (Matt 14:29-31).

Does this sound to hard to you My son? Does this seem unfair to you? Do you desire an easier way, like all the others? There is no other way to believe Me for I have made it this way. This is the point where many of My children get to, then turn back and refuse to go on with Me for they have counted the cost of believing Me to be to high for you see I am asking for all of them, every part of their life, for it belongs to Me, for I paid a great price for it, by sending My Son Jesus to die on the cross for them, therefore the standard for believing Me is set very high, but the One who went to the cross believed Me this exact way, setting the example for all men (women) and demonstrating that a man can believe Me this way.

Now you have a choice My son. You can believe Me on My terms or you can just fall back to knowing Me like most men do. My Son Jesus declared to you, "take heed what you hear, for whoever has my Word in his heart, to him more ability to believe Me will be given him, but whoever does not have My Word in his heart, even what amount of My Word he has in his head, will be taken away from him." (Mark 4:24-25 with God's revelation given to me). My Kingdom works this way My son. First you Hear the Word, then keep hearing that same Word until it is planted in your heart, and you should sleep by night and rise by day and the seed of My Word should sprout and grow, you yourself won't know how this is happening, it just is. Then your heart will yield a crop that I call "Believing". It will grow in stages until the crop becomes full grown. When it is full grown, now you are able to believe Me, and because you are believing Me, harvest time has come and harvest time is that time for what you are believing Me for comes to pass (Mark 4:24-29).

This is a faithful and true saying to you My son. This is how you believe Me. This is the only way you can believe Me. Are you willing to really believe Me? The cost is high, but the reward is even greater. Your believing Me will put a smile on My face (Heb 11:6) and it will give Me great pleasure to give you the contents of My Kingdom (Luke 12:32). They are waiting here for you today. Believe Me, and I will swing the door wide open for you....................

So ends God's message to me and I'll close with this verse: "Oh how I love Your Word! It is my meditation all the day (Ps 119:97) Why? So that I can believe it!!! (it's the only way)

The High Life. What A Way To Live!

If you are going to walk with God and live by faith, then there is something you must settle with yourself once and for all. You must settle this fact and never allow it to be debated in your mind again, and that is Isa 55:8-9 which says, " For My (God's) thoughts are not your thoughts (did you know that God doesn't think like the world thinks?) nor are your ways My ways (settle this right now), says the Lord, for as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts (settle it, before your eyes look at anything else, settle this Truth from God).

If you are going to live by faith, then you are going to live by a Higher standard, God's standard. Whenever you look at something or hear something you must understand that what you are hearing about a situation (H1N1 for example) or what you are looking at, this will always be saying something to you. It will be speaking the world's language and you will naturally want to think about it like the world thinks. But God has already told us in Rom 12:2 that the Believer must renew his mind to a super natural way of thinking, Why? So that we can think like God thinks, and if we will think like God thinks, then we will go and do what God does, and what is it that God does, well, just take a look at Jesus and you will see it loud and clear.

Whatever you or I think about a situation or circumstance that we find ourselves in, always know that God has a higher thought about it. You will find all of God's thoughts and what He thinks about anything and everything pertaining to this life you and I are living on this earth in His Word (2 Pet 1:3). If we will then think like God thinks and do it God's way, then we will receive what God thinks about it, instead of what we think about it. This is, "living by faith"
(Heb 10:38).

Here is an example of what I am sharing with you today. You go to the doctors and he diagnoses a health problem you are having and he gives you the report of his findings. He names the disease and tells you that you have 3 months to live and there is nothing else that can be done. If you act on that report and think along the same level as that report, then you will receive what that report is saying to you. BUT here is what God is saying, " who will believe MY report?"
(Isa 53:1) . First thing you must understand is that God's report is Higher than that doctor's report and here is what God's report says, " By His (Jesus') stripes you were healed (1 Pet 2:24), Jesus Himself took your infirmities and bore your sicknesses (Matt 8:17), all things are possible to him who believes (believes what? God's report!!) (Mark 9:23), you shall live and not die (Ps 118:17).

Now if you and I will step up to this Higher report and believe it instead of that lower report, then we will receive what the Higher report declares. Now I said you must BELIEVE it. Not just know it, but BELIEVE it. If you do, you will be living your life at that Higher place. That is the real "High Life". God has made a way for you and I to live there, but the choice is all ours. Choose this day, the High way or the low (the world's) way, His thoughts or our thoughts. His way is the way of life, the world's way is the way of death. I know which way I'm choosing, how about you? I'll see you on the HIGHway!!

Rightly Discerning Those Stripes On Jesus' Back

Before you read this post, I would suggest you grab your Bible and read 1 Cor 11: 23-31 to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying about taking Communion and examining yourself before you take the Elements, for verse 27 says " therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord". Now I will share the revelation that the Holy Spirit shared with me concerning this subject........

As important as the Blood of Jesus is because it paid the price for our sin, I want to share with you about Jesus' body that was broken for you. To rightly discern Jesus' body is to recognize and see that those stripes that were laid on His body paid the price for my (and your) healing. (Isa 53:4-5 & 1 Pet 2:24). Rightly discerning those stripes leads to the understanding that healing for man's physical body is a finished work, there is nothing else that Jesus has to do for you or me to be healed. He's already paid the price for the healing of your body just like He has already paid the price for your sin. All I must do to be healed now is to receive my healing by faith in those stripes.

Next, I must judge my body according to what I have discerned from Jesus' body. When I look at my body and I see sickness there, then I am responsible to make a judgment concerning it's (the sickness's) right to be there. Therefore as I judge, I determine that if Jesus has already paid the price for my body to be healed, then this sickness is trespassing on my body and I judge that it has no right to be there, therefore I exercise the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus (Rom 8:2) by resisting the sickness and commanding it to leave my body in Jesus Name. I am responsible to make this judgment then carry out the action necessary to fulfill the judgment. I pass sentence on that sickness by commanding it to leave my body and I enforce the sentence by holding firm in my faith as I look at those stripes on Jesus back and continue to look at the Word of God which declares to me from Genesis to Revelation that my God has provided healing for my body. As I look at these things, I know I have judged my body correctly by believing that my body should be healed and not sick. Sickness has no right to be on my body, therefore I judge that accordingly and command it to get off my body.

I now proclaim the truth of this judgment by praising God and declaring with my mouth, "that by His stripes I was healed, therefore I am", then I hold on to this verdict by faith until I see the sentence carried out. I must enforce this judgment and sentence until I see the finished work of healing that has already been done in Jesus' body and now is being done in my body.

If I'll do this, then I'll not be judged by God as one who has not enforced His judgment upon His enemy satan, but if I don't do this then I leave myself open to sickness, disease, and pain that will surely come and remain if the proper judgment is not made against it. God will judge me as one who has heard His Word, but chooses not to do it. Therefore because of my choice, the ruling that comes from God in His judgment of me is guilty of not enforcing His Word, and the result of that judgment is that sickness and disease will remain in my body as a trespasser because I refuse to run it out. If I do it God's way then I'll get God's results which is, I'll not be weak, sickly, or die prematurely (1 Cor 11:30).

Here in lies the truth of Communion. God wants us to take Communion often, so that we will rightly discern the body and blood of Jesus so that we can walk free from sin, sickness, disease, and pain. The next time you take Communion, judge yourself according to what God has revealed to us today, then walk free from whatever the enemy is holding against you. God has made the way for you to be free, the choice is all yours.

So let me close with this summary and try to smooth this out: Jesus' body was broken by the stripes that were laid upon Him so that your body could be whole. When you take communion, you rightly discern and judge those stripes on Jesus' body as full payment for your body to be whole (strong, healthy, nothing missing, nothing broken, fully complete). Next you examine your body to ensure that it is whole. If not (if sickness, disease, pain is present), you judge that sickness as a trespasser. You take authority over it and command it to leave, for it has no right to be there. Now you take the bread, which is the broken body of Christ for you, and you thank God for your healing, then you take and eat believing in your heart that you are healed because of those stripes. Then don't you let go of that thought, and hold fast to your faith until the manifestation of that healing comes to pass. Having done all to stand, just stand!! God is faithful and He will watch over His Word to perform it!!

Be Blessed and Be Whole

What Light Do You Read By?

Ps 119:105 declares this truth, "Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my Path".

When you receive a bad report, (now you notice I didn't say IF you receive a bad report, I said WHEN you receive a bad report, because Jesus said in John 16:33, "In the world YOU WILL HAVE tribulation", therefore you will so) what lamp do you turn on to see and read the bad report with? The God of the kingdom of this world's (2 Cor 4:4) lamp or the God of the Kingdom of Heaven's lamp?

The lamp you turn on determines what you will see. If you turn satan's lamp on, you will see death. But if you turn on Jesus' lamp you will see the Father and you will see life. What lamp that you choose to turn on will determine your outcome. Now I hope you notice here that "you" are the one who determines what lamp you are going to turn on. You have to understand that your flesh will reach for satan's lamp, but if your spirit has been born again (John 3:3), it will want to reach for Jesus' lamp. The lamp you reach out for will show you who is in command of your steps. Your flesh, or your spirit.

The light that shines forth from the lamp that you turn on, will determine what you see. If your flesh turns on satan's lamp then you will see what Prov 14:12 declares, "there is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of that way is death", but if your spirit turns Jesus' light on then you will see John 10:10 where Jesus says, "I have come that you may have life and that you may have it more abundantly". So, what lamp do you want to read this bad report by? What light do you want shining on the report you are reading, the one that leads to life or death?

Now the really good news here is that you get to choose which lamp you are going to turn on and read this report by. This is the way God has made it for man. He said in Deut 30:19, "I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing, therefore choose life that both you and your descendants may live". Now just in case you are undecided after you hear God's options, He gives you a hint on what to choose. Actually, it is more than a hint, it's a loud cry, "Choose Life".

If you read the bad report by satan's lamp, fear will rise up and direct you to make decisions that will lead you to death. But if you read the bad report by Jesus' lamp, then faith will rise up and direct you to make decisions that lead to life. God has said His people shall live by faith(Heb 10:38) so again He is telling us what lamp to turn on to see the bad report.

So if you are looking at a doctor's report and it says, " we have done all we can for you and there is nothing else we can do for you", the light you are reading this report by will determine your outcome. Satan's lamp will declare, "you will surely die, for there is no hope for you", but Jesus' lamp will declare, "you shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord" (Ps 118:17).

Now, what light do you want shining on your report? Make the choice today to reach for Jesus' lamp and turn the light of God on and live. Not just live, but live more abundantly, that's Jesus' promise and you'll only see that promise come to pass when you turn Jesus' light on.
